Our success and longevity is a direct result of great partnerships, like with White Tucker Company, which have been forged over the past 125 years. The company provides material and equipment for the service station market, petrochemical industry and the aviation refueling market. Since 1961, White Tucker Company has been a trusted partner of OPW but their story starts long before.
Back in 1910, White Tucker began operations as Louis-White-Tucker Company in Dallas, Texas. All three founders conducted equal aspects of business operations including selling hand pumps to the young gasoline industry. Five years later in 1915, White and Tucker bought out Louis’ interest in the company. Now known as White Tucker, the company had expanded to four branches.
White Tucker would survive the economic downturn and emerged with two branches. Then
in 1940, Tucker bought out White’s interest in the business and left the name unchanged to build upon the recognition and respect it had earned over the years.
Charles Kemp joined the company as a partner in 1949 and acquired full ownership following the Tucker’s death. Over the next 50 years, White Tucker Company would experience tremendous growth and continue to build a reputation of trust and dependability through strong partnerships. Its partnership with OPW was forged in 1961 and has stood the test of time.
In 1999, Lydia Cowie and Nona Kemp acquired ownership making White Tucker a certified Woman Owned Business Enterprise. The company has since grown to three branches across Texas featuring 48,000 square feet of warehouse inventory with over 15,000 stocking items. White Tucker carries product lines from OPW and over 100 manufacturers, and is a leader in petroleum equipment nationwide.
