Prior to this appointment, Vander Hey was the Commercial District Manager for OPW Retail Fueling, an OPW business unit and the leading manufacturer of fueling components such as nozzles, underground pipes and vapor recovery systems to protect the environment and consumer for conventional and alternative fuels. In his new position, Vander Hey will report directly to Parrish Evans, Director of Sales for OPW Retail Fueling.

Midland Manufacturing, the global leader in railroad tank car safety valves and equipment, and a division of OPW, will now offer repair services of railcar valves in addition to its Valve Remanufacturing & Repair Program. Standard repair services of general and pressure railcar valves will consist of testing, cleaning, collecting of data, replacing soft goods (i.e., gaskets), assembling and final testing.

OPW is pleased to announce the promotion of Dave Morrow to Director of Product Management for its Chemical & Industrial (C&I) business unit. Prior to this appointment, Morrow was the Product Manager for OPW Engineered Systems, an OPW brand and the leading manufacturer of loading arm and coupling systems for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of hazardous materials.

OPW is pleased to announce that its KPS LPG Pipe System™ is now approved by TÜV SÜD for use on LPG filling stations. The TÜV approval validates that the KPS LPG Pipe System™ is fit for its intended purpose and may be used on German LPG refuelling stations.

The Dover Sons & Daughters Scholarship recognizes outstanding high school seniors and current college students who are the children of Dover employees and who have demonstrated excellence through their academic record, test scores, leadership abilities and through their extracurricular activities and work record. Awardees may receive up to $10,000 in undergraduate scholarship support contingent upon maintaining academic and program eligibility. Now in its third year, this program has made 139 awards totaling nearly $700,000 in scholarship support.

OPW is pleased to announce the launch of the industry’s first Fibrelite GRP above ground fill sump range. The new GRP above ground fill sump range – including model S22SH-2/AGF – is the result of collaboration with a global oil company and has been specifically designed to replace existing concrete sumps and connect to existing underground piping for easy installation.

Herbst will oversee all marketing functions, new product development and management for Midland pressure car products and remanufacturing services.

Midland Manufacturing, the global leader in railroad tank car safety valves and equipment, and a division of OPW, has appointed Bill Galbreath product manager for general purpose railcar products. In this role, Galbreath will lead all marketing activities, new product development and management for Midland general purpose railcar products.

Effective April 1, 2014, all Fibrelite products will be integrated into OPW Retail Fueling order entry, shipping, and billing systems. Order entry for Fibrelite products will now be handled through the OPW Retail Fueling customer service group. Fibrelite products are now covered by OPW Retail Fueling 2014 Terms and Policies, which means they are now eligible for free freight allowances in accordance with the OPW Retail Fueling Freight Policy.

These products – which have received Phase 1 Enhanced Vapor Recovery (EVR) System certification from the California Air Resource Board (CARB) for use with E85 – have been specifically designed to provide OPW customers with a comprehensive choice of UST equipment that eliminate the risks and material-compatibility concerns associated with E85.

Richard Chen has been appointed Managing Director of the newly combined OPW Asia-Pacific business unit.  Prior to this announcement, Richard served as the Managing Director of the company’s OPW Fueling Components Asia-Pacific operation, a position he has held since 2003. 

The NGVLB’s main operational advantage for the CNG-handler is that it is pressure-balanced to 18,129 psi (1,250 bar), which eliminates nuisance separation due to pressure surges in the CNG dispensing system during the venting sequence of the fueling operation. The NGVLB is designed for use in conjunction with any of OPW’s family of high-pressure Fill Line Breakaways in CNG applications at service pressures up to 3,600 psi (250 bar). Because of a similar length to the VLB model, it is quick and easy for operators to perform a like-for-like replacement with the NGVLB model.

In July of last year, the manufacturer of the authorization component of the SmartLock system announced that they will be ending support for Pacific Pride's existing SmartLock installations. In order to correct the current market misconception that OPW will no longer offer a Pacific Pride processing solution, OPW Fuel Management Systems President, Phil Carlin, has been invited to speak at Pacific Pride's break out session at the WPMA show in Las Vegas.

The newly combined company will be called OPW EMEA and will represent all Retail Fueling, Tank Gauges, KPS, and Fibrelite product lines. The new OPW EMEA will be headquartered in Kungsör, Sweden at the KPS facility.

The event takes place from March 3-5 at the Shangri La Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia, and is designed to connect fuel retailers with manufacturers at a unique networking conference.

He will assume his new responsibilities immediately. Roth will report to Scott Heim, Eastern Regional Sales Manager – OPW Retail Fueling.
