OPW Fuel Management Systems Certification Policies

  1. OPW FMS requires technician certification for the installation, startup and warranty maintenance of any fuel-control or tank-gauge system manufactured by OPW-FMS. Systems installed or started by non-certified personnel may not be covered under warranty. OPW-FMS also requires technician certification to qualify for OPW FMS Helpdesk technical assistance.

  2. Certification on the OPW FMS FSC3000™ family of fuel-control equipment requires online coursework, attendance in a live classroom seminar and completion of a final exam with a passing grade. The FSC3000 family of fuel-control equipment includes the FSC3000 fuel-site controller, and C/OPT™, K800™ Hybrid, PV200 and PV300E fuel island terminals.

  3. SiteSentinel® family of tank gauge equipment requires online coursework, attendance in a live classroom seminar and completion of a final exam with a passing grade. The SiteSentinel® family of tank guage equipment includes the SiteSentinel® Integra 100, SiteSentinel® Integra 500, and SiteSentinel® Nano.

  4. Current technician certification on the OPW PV100, K800™ and AFC fuel-control systems, and EECO and requires completion of online e-learning modules and final exam with a passing grade.

  5. OPW FMS Technician Certification Period: As of 2/1/2023 any and all OPW FMS certifications are valid for one year from the date of completion. Recertification requires completion of online e-learning modules and final exam with a passing grade and will extend the certification for an additional year. Technician re-certification must be performed prior to the expiration of the original certification. Failure to do so may result in the requirement to attend a live classroom seminar and completion of online e-learning modules and final exam with a passing grade.

  6. Should a product line undergo significant changes in hardware or software, online re-certification may be suspended for the specified product. Should this occur, re-certification may require attendance in a live classroom seminar and passing a final exam.

  7. In the event a technician changes their company of employment, certifications may be considered transferable at the sole discretion of the previous employer who paid for certification. OPW FMS reserves the right to revoke certification for anyone attempting to falsify certification credentials to OPW FMS or customers/end-users of OPW FMS equipment.

  8. Any company, distributor or establishment that violates these policies risks revocation of certifications of all personnel in their employment.

  9. OPW FMS reserves the right to revoke certification for any technician or group of technicians if they are determined to be lacking in technical ability or overall quality of service on installation or servicing of OPW FMS equipment.
