OPW introduced “what’s next” in fueling innovation at the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) Convention at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show last month in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Petro Systems Management Ireland (PSM) already used OPW gauges and were familiar with the OPW team and the quality of OPW products; so when upgrading to plastic pipe (the now industry standard), KPS was the obvious choice.

OPW enjoyed three robust days showcasing its latest fueling innovations at Europe’s most prestigious retail fueling exhibition, the 2018 UNITI Expo.

UNITI is the industry event for retail fuelling in the EMEA region. We will be exhibiting an unrivalled range of OPW, Fibrelite and KPS products, including a number of new innovations to be announced early 2018.

Since 2011, ColVic, the leading OPW distributor in South Africa, has grown KPS market penetration from a zero base to 35%. This has resulted in a large increase in the need for engineers trained in the installation of KPS piping. To satisfy this, ColVic has more than doubled the size of its Johannesburg training facility.

Sometimes repairs or modifications to the piping system need to be done. This can be years or decades after the initial installation. Sometimes mistakes are made during the initial installation that will prompt a correction or repair.

At the NACS/PEI Show we had the chance to speak to Kevin Long, President of OPW - one the of the leading forecourt equipment manufacturers in the industry. We discuss the company's 125th anniversary, the challenges facing the industry and the formation of Dover Fueling Solutions.
