OPW Fluid Transfer Group Appoints Jeff Reichert Vice President Of New Global Chemical & Industrial Business Unit

By OPW | Jun 04, 2009

Mason, OH – As the OPW Fluid Transfer Group begins its new direction with the introduction of its Global Transportation and Global Chemical & Industrial Business Units, the company is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Reichert as Vice President of the Global Chemical & Industrial Business Unit. In this position, Reichert will report directly to OPWFTG President Tim Warning.

These two new business units are the result of the streamlining of OPWFTG's previous four business units and eight global operations. This has been done in an effort to align the company's substantial resources to further enhance its ability to provide its global customer base with industry-leading solutions through its well-known brands that include Civacon, Midland, Hiltap and OPW Engineered Systems. With this in mind, the Global Chemical & Industrial Business Unit will focus on fluid handling, transfer, and loading and unloading solutions in the chemical- and industrial-processing markets.

Reichert joined OPWFTG in 2006 as Director, Quality & Productivity for its OPW Engineered Systems division, Lebanon, OH, where he was responsible for all quality and lean manufacturing functions, including quality plans, production processes and documented procedures that enable compliance with required standards. After excelling in that position, he was promoted to General Manager of OPW Engineered Systems earlier this year.

Before joining OPW Engineered Systems, Reichert was a General Manager for the Finn Corporation, and he has also held manufacturing positions for Makino, Inc. and GE Aircraft Engines. He received both his undergraduate degree and MBA from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH, majoring in Production Operations Management and Materials Management.

"Jeff brings more than 22 years of solid manufacturing, quality and business-management experience to this exciting new position," said Warning. "He has been integral to the success of OPW Engineered Systems and we are certain that he will also be integral to the success of our new Global Chemical & Industrial Business Unit."

OPW Fluid Transfer Group, organized in 1998 is part of Dover Corporation and is comprised of market-leading operating companies — each dedicated to designing, manufacturing and distributing world class solutions that assist in the safe and efficient handling of hazardous bulk products. The Group is comprised of two business units: OPWFTG Global Transportation Business Unit and OPWFTG Global Chemical & Industrial Business Unit. The company's market-leading brands include: OPW Engineered Systems, Midland Manufacturing, Civacon, and Knappco. The company has manufacturing plants in North America, Europe, Brazil and India and sales offices in Singapore and Shanghai. For more information, please visit www.opw-ftg.com.
