OPW Fuel Management Systems Schedules Four Virtual Training Seminars For December

By OPW | Nov 16, 2011

Hodgkins, IL — OPW Fuel Management Systems, part of OPW Fueling Components, has scheduled four Web-based product-training seminars for the month of December. The first and the fourth virtual training seminars of the month will focus on the SiteSentinel® iSite™ Automatic Tank Gauging System. They have been set for Friday, Dec. 2, and Monday, Dec. 19, with the first beginning at 8:30 a.m. CST and continuing for three hours, and the second starting at 2 p.m. CST and continuing for three hours.
This course is designed to demonstrate the system start-ups and general operation of the
SiteSentinel® iSite™, which is OPW’s next-generation tank-gauging system, one that offers enhanced inventory management with superior leak-detection capabilities.

The month’s second virtual training seminar has been scheduled for Friday, Dec. 9, and will focus on the K800™ Fleet Fuel Control System. This three-hour seminar is slated to begin at 9 a.m. CST. The course is designed to introduce service personnel to the K800 system, which consists of one to four fuel-island terminals used by drivers to access fuel and one Fuel Site Controller that stores all transaction data and driver records.

December’s third virtual training seminar will occur on Friday, Dec. 16, and will begin at 2 p.m. CST and continue for three hours. The topic of this seminar is the SiteSentinel® iTouch™ Tank Gauge. The iTouch™ is a multi-function, high-quality tank-monitoring system that provides real-time, accurate inventory information for up to 16 fuel-storage tanks. The enhanced performance of the iTouch™ improves data processing, allows for future system expansion and can be customized to meet each user’s needs.

All registrants must have high-speed Internet access and an active individual e-mail address. Registrants must also download and read the appropriate training guides prior to the seminar. OPW Fuel Management Systems will award certificates of achievement on systems that are covered during the seminar. In order to receive certification, attendees must pass a mandatory written test on each system. Technicians are required to re-certify every three years and the re-certifying cost is $75 for each test. However, if the technician attends an onsite or Webex seminar, the cost of the test will be waived.

There is a $100 charge for attending a two-day Webex training course. A valid Visa, MasterCard or P.O. from the sponsoring distributor and sponsorship by an authorized OPW Fuel Management Systems distributor are required to participate in these Webex courses. Seminar fees are non-refundable once the registration has been sent. If OPW cancels the seminar, a refund will be sent to the technician or it can be used for a future Webex seminar.

Qualified technicians and distributors can register for Web-based training seminars on OPW Fuel Management Systems’ Web site at www.opwglobal.com under the “Service Seminar Schedule” link in the Tech Support section or by calling Steve Rose at (708) 485-4200, ext. 8278.
