OPW, a Dover Company and a global leader in fluid-handling solutions, announced today that it has acquired VisiLevel, a fluid gauging system from MechTronic, based in Leeds, United Kingdom. Going forward, OPW will manufacture VisiLevel at its facility in Nieuw-Vennep, the Netherlands, to further expand its fluid transfer product and technology offerings to customers around the globe.

Dover (NYSE: DOV) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Acme Cryogenics, Inc. (“Acme”) for $295 million in cash, and that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Engineered Controls International, LLC (“RegO”) for $631 million in cash, subject to customary purchase price adjustments. Additionally, the RegO acquisition includes tax step-up benefits with a net present value of approximately $35 million. Both businesses will become part of the OPW Global (“OPW”) operating unit within Dover’s Fueling Solutions segment.

Going forward, OPW will manufacture the ISO Liquid Tank Container product line at OPW’s facility in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, China, with emphasis on increasing OPW’s presence and product portfolio in the Asia-Pacific, Latin American and European regions.

Civacon, a world leader in truck tank components and systems, has announced that it will host a series of virtual sessions to provide education on the benefits, use cases and features of digital truck tank interfaces, an evolution from traditional analog, mechanical controls. At first glance, fueling systems at retail fueling sites appear to be nothing more than rough-and-tumble setups – a big hole is dug in which a long tube is buried before a heavy-duty pump pushes the fuel through the dispenser nozzle and into a customer’s vehicle. Building a retail fueling location with an underground system of storage tanks, piping and dispensing equipment cannot be an “out of sight, out of mind” proposition for the operator. The smallest leaks in an underground fueling system can lead to large problems for drivers, site personnel, the environment and the site operator, who can be subject to exorbitant repair, replacement, cleanup and remediation costs, with actual site shutdown a worst-case scenario.
