Welcome to 2019! Everyone at OPW is excited to continue our journey of Defining What's Next across many global markets we serve. OPW has been at the forefront of innovation over the past 125-plus years, and we will continue to innovate for several
years to come. The reason we innovate is to help fulfill our mission to continue to revolutionize fluid handling by protecting people and environment, while improving the business performance of our customers. That mission will never change in
2019, and beyond.
But before we look forward to what’s in store for this year, let’s take a look back at how we got here with some highlights from this past year.
OPW Fueled Conversation 2018 PEI-NACS Show
OPW introduced “what’s next” in fueling innovation at the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) Convention at the National Association of Convenience Stores
(NACS) Show last October in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During the show, OPW fielded many questions from retailers around the then-pending U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Underground Storage Tank Regulations. The new
UST regulations went into full effect on the Saturday following the PEI-NACS Show, and OPW discussed this issue with reporters and
retailers throughout the event.
OPW Retail Fueling Released Watertight Wonders including the ElectroTite
OPW engineered a complete line of durable, watertight solutions that prevent UST water intrusion. The newest addition to the line was the ElectroTite Tank Sump.
Developed in the collaborative engineering labs of FlexWorks and Fibrelite, OPW’s latest tank sump innovation features no drill dry sump technology. The ElectroTite Tank Sump ships factory-installed with conduit ports and an electrical wiring junction box, which eliminates the need to install conduit entry fittings in the field. These have become notorious leak points in all tank sump applications.
Extremely versatile, the ElectroTite is available in a wide variety of models to accommodate virtually any tank sump application. Watch the video below for more information on this innovative tank sump technology!
Midland Joined Safety Train Tour Across United States
Midland Manufacturing was busy last year supporting The Chlorine Institute and TRANSCAER's Rail Safety & Hazmat Emergency Response Training at stops across the United States.
At each stop, Midland hosted an Emergency Response Kit (ERK) workshop where they share insight on potential leak scenarios and how to mitigate those leaks. Additionally, Midland demonstrated how to install its ERK on a typical flammable gas assembly.
OPW Engineered Systems Exhibited Total Terminal Solutions in Asia
Held last September at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore, Tank Storage Asia is the region's largest conference for the oil, gas and petrochemcial industry and drew more than 1,600 attendees.
At the show, OPW Engineered Systems displayed its "Total Terminal Solutions" portfolio of products and accessories, which illustrated OPW Engineered
Systems' comprehensive offering to the terminal market.
Fibrelite Manhole Covers Take Center Stage at the 2018 UNITI Expo
OPW enjoyed three robust days showcasing its latest fueling innovations at Europe's most prestigious retail fueling exhibition, the 2018 UNITI Expo.
Retail fuel operators and trade partners from all across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia attended the expo, offering OPW the opportunity to demonstrate that it has the most complete, fully integrated fuel transfer, containment and dispensing solution
in the world.
Products showcased included KPS flexible piping and fittings, tank equipment, fueling nozzle and the world-renowned Fibrelite watertight composite manhole covers.

Civacon Showcased CivaCommand at the 2018 WPMA Show
Civacon brought its full-line of transportation solutions to Las Vegas last February during the 2018 WPMA Show. While Civacon exhibited many products, they received the most questions and inquiries about CivaCommand,
which allows owners to take total control of their tank trucks. Designed as the truck's nucleus, CivaCommand's touchscreen interface seamlessly integrates with all tank truck technology, giving operators complete control during the loading and
unloading process.
PDQ Lit It Up with its All-New BayGlow Illumination System
Car washes will never be the same with PDQ's all-new BayGlow Wash Bay Illumination System. The system allows owners to proudly
display multiple color combinations, flashing patterns, or a constant colored illumination that match their brand image. Owners can also benefit from seamless integration with the LaserWash 360 Plus and Tandem Surfline wash systems.
