OPW, a Dover Company (NYSE: DOV), announced today that it has named Kevin Long as the company’s new president.

Preferences varies when it comes to choosing between straight pipes and pipe coils. Some find pipe sticks easier to handle on site, while others prefer coils and having joint-less pipe runs.

Especially when using pipe coils it is a good idea to always start by laying out and installing the longest pipe run, then proceed with the second longest and so on. This way, if a mistake is done, either when measuring and cutting the pipe, or when welding the termination and end fittings, the pipe can be used for one of the shorter pipe runs instead.

Permeation is the process where hydrocarbon molecules from the fuel escapes through the pipe wall to the outside. This happens in all unlined plastic piping and is the reason why unlined piping is no longer in use - at least not for product lines
