By OPW | Oct 24, 2011

Hodgkins, IL — OPW Fuel Management Systems, a business unit of OPW Fueling Components, has scheduled its next onsite product-training seminar for Nov. 29-Dec. 1 in the Cincinnati suburb of Hamilton, OH, at the site of OPW Fueling Components’ corporate headquarters. More specifically, the three-day seminar will be held at 9393 Princeton-Glendale Rd., Hamilton, OH 45011, phone (800) 422-2525.

The seminar has been designed to help ensure that service personnel are more effective through hands-on training with the FSC3000™ Fuel Site Controller products, along with providing an overview on Networks. The seminars will begin at 8 a.m. EST and will continue until 5 p.m. on each of the three days. The cost of the three-day training course is $495 per person; application and payment must be received two to three weeks in advance of the seminar. All lodging and transportation are the responsibility of the attendee.

During the seminar, instructors will demonstrate system start-ups and general operation of the FSC3000™ Fuel Site Controller. Attendees are asked to bring a laptop computer and voltage meter to the seminar. This is a required course to certify or re-certify for fuel-control product testing. OPW Fuel Management Systems will award certificates of achievement on systems that are covered during the seminar. In order to receive certification, attendees must pass a mandatory test on each system.

Virtual Training Seminars Set

OPW Fuel Management Systems has also posted the dates and times for its virtual product-training seminars for qualified distributors and technicians that it has scheduled for November:

• Nov. 2, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. CDT, will focus on the Phoenix™ SQL Fuel Management Software. Phoenix SQL operates over a server with content delivered to users via a browser. It is designed to poll multiple TCP/IP-based fuel-control systems and tank gauges simultaneously in order to reduce data-collection times for multiple fuel sites.

• Nov. 3-4, 9-11 a.m. CDT, will focus on the EECO 1500 Tank Gauge. The EECO 1500 is a multi-function, high-quality tank-monitoring system that provides real-time, accurate inventory information for up to four fuel-storage tanks.

• Nov. 10-11, 9-11 a.m. CST, will focus on the K800™ Fleet Fuel Control System, which consists of one to four fuel-island terminals used by drivers to access fuel and one Fuel Site Controller that stores all transaction data and driver records

Virtual course registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. All registrants must have high-speed Internet access and an active individual e-mail address. Registrants must also download and read the appropriate training guides prior to the seminar. OPW Fuel Management Systems will award certificates of achievement on systems that are covered during the seminar. In order to receive certification, attendees must pass a mandatory written test on each system. Technicians are required to re-certify every three years and the re-certifying cost is $75 for each test. However, if the technician attends an onsite or Webex seminar, the cost of the test will be waived.

There is a $100 charge for attending a two-day Webex training course. A valid Visa, MasterCard or P.O. from the sponsoring distributor and sponsorship by an authorized OPW Fuel Management Systems distributor are required to participate in these Webex courses. Seminar fees are non-refundable once the registration has been sent. If OPW cancels the seminar, a refund will be sent to the technician or it can be used for a future Webex seminar.

Qualified technicians and distributors can register for Web-based training seminars on OPW Fuel Management Systems’ Web site at www.opwglobal.com under the “Service Seminar Schedule” link in the Tech Support section or by calling Steve Rose at (708) 485-4200, ext. 8278.
