Hodgkins, IL — OPW Fuel Management Systems, a business unit of OPW Fueling Components, announced that it has named Joe Dowling as Engineering Manager, Product Development. In this new position, Dowling will be responsible for coordinating resources for new product development, and will report directly to Tony Mills, Director, Engineering & Product Development.
“Joe brings over 20 years of experience in the electronic product design and manufacturing with him to OPW,” said Mills. “His extensive knowledge in product management, lean manufacturing and new product development will be an invaluable tool in his new position. We are proud to add a person with Joe’s background, experience and capabilities to the team and we are looking forward to the many benefits he will bring to OPW and our customers.”
Prior to joining OPW, Dowling held the position of product line manager at MITEQ/MCL Inc., Bolingbrook, IL. In this role, he managed a core team of electrical, mechanical and power supply engineers engaged in the development of multiple indoor high power amplifiers. Dowling most recently was with Invensys Corporation, Carol Stream, IL, where he worked as a program manager managing multiple cross functional virtual teams developing new products for the appliance and recreational spa industries.
Dowling has a Master of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
